Us layout

Right now I only do a couple of kinds of cards. So I was racking my brain trying to figure out how to use this weeks Designed2delight image on a card. I couldn't think of anything. But! At the back of my head I was thinking of a layout that I've been wanting to do. They say when you have inspiration like that that won't leave you alone everything that try to do instead won't turn out.  For me 1/2 the time that is the truth. So I went ahead and did the layout and what do you know, the image fit perfectly and the layout came together quickly.

I still have that bare spot that is alluding me.

tags...a new idea

I think the only time that I have done tags is last year to put on christmas gifts. Don't be shocked. I only got my cricut last september. I plan on doing tags again for Christmas but other than that, I have no idea what to do tags for. For this week image (only if you participated last week) from Designed2delight was a couple of tags. I thought that they were super cute. I was thinking I could use it as a book mark...So I made one. I looked at what all of you guys do with them and how to decorate them and I tried my best. I'm getting better at my coloring and put myself in this project. You can't critic art right? what do you think?

How I did it:

Happy 31 of October

I don't think that it's too early to start Halloween cards. I love love the fall colors! For me they are easy to work with. I was amazed at how quickly this card came together. (side note: some people think that black and brown should not go together. I beg to differ. I have black hair and have brown skin. I think that they go nice together and I wanted to show that in my card) I love this cat. It reminded me of some cats I had growing up.

every flower is to bloom

I did another card using a digi stamp from Designed2delight! (http://designed2delight.com/blog/ )I really love their images. The best part is if you do one every week as apart of the challenge you get a new image the next week instead of catching the free ones once a month. I'm really happy how this card turned out! What do you think? I was thinking baby girl.

scraps

For the Whimsical Wednesday challenge we were supposed to use scraps to make a card. I am proud to say that I used nothing but scraps. (minus the gel pen, buttons, twine, and stamp) I learned how to do this type of card a long time ago and I can't remember who from. But who knew that all of this could turn into...
...This! Isn't it cute?! I used the majority of the scraps on the bottom half. I was thinking "area rug".

baby

I made this card for the Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge. We had to use the Pooh and Friends cloud. Once I saw that cloud I thought... baby. I was trying to make the card look soft and wispy like clouds. There are details on the card that you can't see. Such as around the base layer is a soft baby blue inking. I also used embossing glitter to give it a shimmer. I'm really pleased how it turned out.

I been wanting to do a floating card ever since I saw it on My Craft spot. Here is a link to her video.
http://craftspotbykimberly.blogspot.com/2011/05/happy-birthday-window-card-floating.html
I complicated it but if you follow her instructions I'm sure it will turn out. I just winged mine that is why my dimensions are weird.

Here is the inside of the card.

and the sentiment. I love this I found it from a quote book that my mom gave me. Actually from the same book that I used for the last card.
How I did it:
4 3/4 x 6 for base

3 3/4 x 3 3/4 for frame

star stamp: basic backgrounds: stampin up!
5 1/2 x 4 1/2 for inside layer
baby blue inking around base

I don't know....

For today 365 card challenge we were supposed to draw our inspiration off of this image.
This is what I got. I don't know... I'm not that happy with it. It just came together that way. The image reminded me of a stamp that I had. I wanted to draw in some blue. I think blue and pink look pretty together. Maybe the wrong pattern of blue... hmm... Tell me, what could I have done better?

fishing

I made this card for the flaunt it friday challenge. I think it would be a great father's day card. It's blank and half the time my cards are. why? because a lot of the time I can see other uses for the card. For example: this particular card can be used for father's day, a pick me up card for my grandpa who loves fishing, a random note, et cetera. I tried to use my scraps for this card so it has weird dimensions.
How I did it:
base: 4 x 5
dot layer: 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 (I like fat edges)
blue layer: 3 3/4 x 3
fish: celebrate with flourish: 3 1/2
