Sorry for the angle, I was trying to show the green leaves underneath. (didn't work) I combined two challenges that I wanted to do and I'm really happy how it turned out. Whimsical wednesday ( patriotic-brads, bling, or buttons)http://whimsicalwednesdays.blogspot.com/2011/06/lets-get-patriotic.html and designed 2 delight (red, white + blue & or christmas, too!)http://designed2delight.com/blog/2011/06/red-white-blue-andor-christmas-too/

it's a love thing

I was looking at this stamp and I based a card around it. I also made 2 more like it for a set. I really like this stamp set. I can't remember what the name of it was. I'm really happy how the card turned out. When I finished I spaced putting the stamp saying that I wanted on there, so I put it on the inside. I says "it's a love thing." I wish I could put it on the outside but it wasn't on a single line.
How i did it:
base: 4 1/4 x 4 1/4
layer 1: 4 x 4
1 1/2 wide ribbon
layer 2: 3 1/4 x 3

Tlc Creations

I've just recently got into Digi stamps. There are a lot of websites out there who sell and have free digi stamps.  You'll be seeing a ton of cards soon with these stamps. I especially love Tlc Creations. They are doing a give a way on their website:  http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com/ . I'm excited! They are giving away 3 sets of their digi stamps. So go on over there and follow the rules to enter.

# 1 dad

My niece and I made this card. She picked out what she wanted and I put everything together. She wanted a star card for her dad. I did this for the father's day challenge at http://whimsicalwednesdays.blogspot.com/
How we did it:
Star card: wild card
# 1 Dad: celebrate with a flourish
I don't know if you can see if but I also did some inking around everything.

baby

I made this card for the Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge. We had to use the Pooh and Friends cloud. Once I saw that cloud I thought... baby. I was trying to make the card look soft and wispy like clouds. There are details on the card that you can't see. Such as around the base layer is a soft baby blue inking. I also used embossing glitter to give it a shimmer. I'm really pleased how it turned out.

I been wanting to do a floating card ever since I saw it on My Craft spot. Here is a link to her video.
http://craftspotbykimberly.blogspot.com/2011/05/happy-birthday-window-card-floating.html
I complicated it but if you follow her instructions I'm sure it will turn out. I just winged mine that is why my dimensions are weird.

Here is the inside of the card.

and the sentiment. I love this I found it from a quote book that my mom gave me. Actually from the same book that I used for the last card.
How I did it:
4 3/4 x 6 for base
4 1/4 x 5 1/2 for 1st layer
3 3/4 x 3 3/4 for frame
1/2 inch all away around the frame
cloud and shadow: Pooh and Friends: 1 1/2"
star stamp: basic backgrounds: stampin up!
5 1/2 x 4 1/2 for inside layer
baby blue inking around base
white inking around 1st layer
a la mode embossing powder

Thanks

I'm an online student. I'm taking a class about parenting. We were supposed to interview our parents and if we wanted to write them a thank you letter. So I made them a card. This is my brothers and me. I'm the oldest and then I have two sets of twin brothers. I know crazy! I'm really happy how well this turned out!
This is another weird dimension card.

How I did it:
purple base: 5 1/4 x 4"
Green 5 x 3 3/4
I can't remember the inner layers.
Stampin up! stamp
Target $1 stamp
Stampology paper flower
ek success markers
Inside of card reads: "The best examples we've ever had, was the undying love of Mom and Dad."

I thought that saying was fitting. I got that from a book my mom gave me called "The scrapbookers Best Friend" It's from Chatterbox and EK success
