Country Cat

I made this card for last weeks flaunt it fridays challenge. We were supposed to use the Cindy Loo cartridge or a similar cut that is on that one. I didn't have Cindy Loo but I saw that there was a cat on there and I did have one on the Country life. (which i just got). I've been itching to do a card from the wild card (which I also got) so here is the result.
How I did it:
Scallop circle card:from wild card: cut at 5 1/4
circle layer: from george: cut at 4 1/4
cat: from country life : cut at 8 1/2
(this was a small cat on a chair. it is not on real dial size which i should have done. this was planned on my gypsy)
Three 1/4 in strips
white ribbon
white gel pen
gem for collar

I don't know....

For today 365 card challenge we were supposed to draw our inspiration off of this image.
This is what I got. I don't know... I'm not that happy with it. It just came together that way. The image reminded me of a stamp that I had. I wanted to draw in some blue. I think blue and pink look pretty together. Maybe the wrong pattern of blue... hmm... Tell me, what could I have done better?
i wanted to do an easel card. this was my first one!
How I did it:
both stamps are from studio 112
ek success punch
target $1 ribbon

fishing

I made this card for the flaunt it friday challenge. I think it would be a great father's day card. It's blank and half the time my cards are. why? because a lot of the time I can see other uses for the card. For example: this particular card can be used for father's day, a pick me up card for my grandpa who loves fishing, a random note, et cetera. I tried to use my scraps for this card so it has weird dimensions.
How I did it:
base: 4 x 5
dot layer: 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 (I like fat edges)
blue layer: 3 3/4 x 3
fish: celebrate with flourish: 3 1/2

This is my cousin. She is giving away an awesome giveaway! I hope I get it. I know it's the 11th hour posting this but an extra entry is to blog about this. So if you would like a shot at getting free scrapbooking stuff go check out her blog.

a little something for you

i wanted to give a 365 card challenge a try. the challenge was to make a 'double stair step' card. I've also been wanting to make my sister-in-law a card. She is getting married in june. Her theme is butterflies and daisies. Her colors are white, yellow, green, and purple. I wanted to try a test run for the guest book she asked me to make. So here is the result.

Here is the view from the top so you can see the stairs. I think I made 3 stairs. oops. That didn't occur to me when I was
making it.

How I did it:
Small Daisies and Butterflies: punches I got from Michaels
Big Daisies: Sweet Treats
Stems: Sweethearts
flower chain background: stampology background stamp
a little something for you: studio 112 stamp
white gel pen
ek success markers
grass: scrap paper I cut

I can't believe that i'm graduating tomorrow with my A.S. degree!
