I don't know....

For today 365 card challenge we were supposed to draw our inspiration off of this image.
This is what I got. I don't know... I'm not that happy with it. It just came together that way. The image reminded me of a stamp that I had. I wanted to draw in some blue. I think blue and pink look pretty together. Maybe the wrong pattern of blue... hmm... Tell me, what could I have done better?
i wanted to do an easel card. this was my first one!
How I did it:
both stamps are from studio 112
ek success punch
target $1 ribbon

I just got an award! yay! Thanks Kim! She's from http://snippetsoflife-kim.blogspot.com/ . When I saw that I got this I remembered that Terri from http://myneed2craft.blogspot.com/ also awarded it to me and I forgot to post it. She caught me in a busy week. That was finals for me and I was seriously stressin. But thank you ladies for thinking of me!
The Rules for the Stylish Blogger award are:

  2. Share 8 things about myself
  3. Pass this award to 8 other individuals that I have recently discovered
  4. Leave a comment so that they can pass along the recognition
I had to think hard but I think I've come up with 8 interesting things about myself.
  1. I'm a full-time student at BYU-Idaho online and a full time stay at home mom.

  7. I must have a target on my head because I get teased by everyone I know. They seem to think its fun.
  8. I hope to some day go to Washington D.C. and go to the Smithsonian.
8 people that I admire their work

thanks

This was one of my first cards that I made with my cricut (minus the doodles and flowers). I recently found it while spring cleaning. I wasn't happy with it then and it felt incomplete. I added somethings to it. Now i love it!
How I did it:

fishing

I made this card for the flaunt it friday challenge. I think it would be a great father's day card. It's blank and half the time my cards are. why? because a lot of the time I can see other uses for the card. For example: this particular card can be used for father's day, a pick me up card for my grandpa who loves fishing, a random note, et cetera. I tried to use my scraps for this card so it has weird dimensions.
How I did it:
base: 4 x 5
dot layer: 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 (I like fat edges)
blue layer: 3 3/4 x 3
fish: celebrate with flourish: 3 1/2

This is my cousin. She is giving away an awesome giveaway! I hope I get it. I know it's the 11th hour posting this but an extra entry is to blog about this. So if you would like a shot at getting free scrapbooking stuff go check out her blog.
