Us layout

Right now I only do a couple of kinds of cards. So I was racking my brain trying to figure out how to use this weeks Designed2delight image on a card. I couldn't think of anything. But! At the back of my head I was thinking of a layout that I've been wanting to do. They say when you have inspiration like that that won't leave you alone everything that try to do instead won't turn out.  For me 1/2 the time that is the truth. So I went ahead and did the layout and what do you know, the image fit perfectly and the layout came together quickly.

I still have that bare spot that is alluding me.

tags...a new idea

I think the only time that I have done tags is last year to put on christmas gifts. Don't be shocked. I only got my cricut last september. I plan on doing tags again for Christmas but other than that, I have no idea what to do tags for. For this week image (only if you participated last week) from Designed2delight was a couple of tags. I thought that they were super cute. I was thinking I could use it as a book mark...So I made one. I looked at what all of you guys do with them and how to decorate them and I tried my best. I'm getting better at my coloring and put myself in this project. You can't critic art right? what do you think?

How I did it:

pink polka dot: 5 1/4 x 4 1/2

Happy 31 of October

I don't think that it's too early to start Halloween cards. I love love the fall colors! For me they are easy to work with. I was amazed at how quickly this card came together. (side note: some people think that black and brown should not go together. I beg to differ. I have black hair and have brown skin. I think that they go nice together and I wanted to show that in my card) I love this cat. It reminded me of some cats I had growing up.
How I did it:
5 1/2 x 4 1/4 base
5 1/4/ x 4 layer
cat from Designed2 delight
october 31: inkadinkado stamp months and days
recollections cardstock

every flower is to bloom

I did another card using a digi stamp from Designed2delight! (http://designed2delight.com/blog/ )I really love their images. The best part is if you do one every week as apart of the challenge you get a new image the next week instead of catching the free ones once a month. I'm really happy how this card turned out! What do you think? I was thinking baby girl.

How I did it:
Gatefold card
will fit in a2 size evelope
outside image from designed2delight
inside stamp from studio 112
paper from color bok (green polka dot) and from personal stash
white gel pen to do stitching
ek success markers
pastel chalk pencils

Over at designed2delight (http://designed2delight.com/blog/) we had to create a card using the pumpkin image that I used. I really like how this card turned out. Lately I haven't been posting much because I've been trying to rediscover my "style". I think this card shows a little bit of it. I think I could of done better but with the materials I have and lack of experience, I think I did pretty good!

base: 4 x 5 1/4
layer 1: 3 3/4 x 5
background on base: stampin up! sweet shapes
orange paper: colorbok
red leaves: stampin up! delightful dots
b: stampin up! big deal alphabet
flourish: stampin up! sweet shapes
pumpkin image: designed2delight ( colored with colored pencils and pastel pencils)
